We have a small runabout 'tinnie' located at our private pontoon that you are welcome to take out to explore the local Calabash Bay and Berowra Creek. At low tide many of the little bays reveal small beaches that are perfect for that lunchtime picnic.
Alternatively, more in keeping with nature, you can take out our double kayak and paddle the shoreline looking for the Aboriginal rock carvings that have survived the centuries.
Bushwalking tracks are plentiful in the area, you can wander up to the old ruins at Calabash Bay Point or alternatively the Great Northern Walk is a short boat ride away – the vista from the top of the ridge is gorgeous and worth the effort of getting there.
Of course relaxation is paramount when on the river so why not throw a line in the water from the private jetty. The water is teamingwith Bream and Flathead as well as the odd Snapper and Mulloway.
We have fishing rods, hand reels and bait that you are welcome to use. As the sun goes down enjoy a game of Petanque on the front lawn with an aperitif in hand before our ferry picks you up to dine at The Inn.
If you want to explore then the local area provides plenty of
distractions during the day. We have a full compendium of
information about the local area in
The Guesthouse.
